Load cells are how we measure torque in braked dynos. Please select the appropriate load cell rating for your particular dyno installation. If the load cell used is not reated high enough, you will risk breaking the load cell, and the brake coming loose, so be sure to select the correctly rated load cell. These load cells use a wheatstone bridge, so be sure your data system is compatible. All Precision DynoTech data acquisition systems are compatible with these load cells.

The post Load Cells (Varied Load Ratings) first appeared on Precision DynoTech.

Get accurate and noise-free rpm tach signals from a spark plug wire. Great for dyno's that use spark as an RPM signal source.

Includes:

Clamp-on inductive pickup.

RPM Amplifier and Filter

6 Position DIP switch for easy configuration

Configure a max RPM for your use, ignoring any errant signals that would otherwise cause a false signal.

Push-Pull or Open Drain output signal.

Auto-level detect based on the input signal strength

Terminal block with optional inputs (if the clamp pickup is not used)

Un-filtered signals from inductive spark plug wire pickups are nearly unusable for dyno data systems. This filter and amplifier strengthens the signal, and outputs a nicely formed square wave to be used with many different brands of dyno data acquisition systems, including YourDyno, Performance Trends DataMite, Perek, and more. As long as your data system can accept a square wave, this filter output will be perfect.

For use with external coil ignition systems. Simply hook up the inductive clamp onto a spark plug wire, and hook up the output of the included filter circuity to an input on a Precison DynoTech data acquisition unit. The attached filter deals with the very noisy spark plug signal and creates a clean and useable signal for many types of data systems. This unit can be used with a variety of data systems, but Precision DynoTech cannot guarantee compatibility with all systems.
